Mr. Johnson joined the Sequoia Capital Heritage Fund as a Founding Member in May 2008. He serves as the Fund's Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to founding the fund, Mr. Johnson was a director at Stanford Management Company where he managed an $8 billion portfolio of marketable securities and hedge funds.
Prior to joining Stanford Management Company, Mr. Johnson was an investment associate at the Toyota North America pension plan and worked as a senior equity research analyst at Bel Air Investment Advisors, a Los Angeles-based high net worth wealth advisory and asset management firm with approximately $5 billion under management.
Mr. Johnson received an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a BS in Statistics from
Brigham Young University where he also studied Japanese.
