Ms. Cheng joined the Sequoia Capital Heritage Fund as the Vice President of Finance in April 2010.
Prior to the Sequoia Capital Heritage Fund, Ms. Cheng was Senior Vice President at Auda, based in New York, and managed all the accounting, financial, tax reporting and operations of the private equity funds (totaling $4.2 billion assets under management).
Prior to joining Auda, Ms. Cheng was Vice President and Funds Controller at Hall Capital Partners LLC in San Francisco where she played a vital role in restructuring Hall Capital Partners funds of funds operations, headed up all the accounting, finance, tax reporting, investor relations, administrative and operation functions of the private equity, real assets, absolute return, and equity hedge fund of funds businesses (totaling $1.5 billion assets under management), and launched the interactive investor website portal.
Prior to Hall Capital Partners LLC, Ms. Cheng was Controller at Azure Capital Partners also in San Francisco where she developed and was primary responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and operation functions of the crossover and venture capital funds.
Prior to Azure, she was an auditor focused on large financial institutions, hedge funds, mutual funds and private equity clients at PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco and at Ernst & Young in Boston.
Ms. Cheng received a BA in Accounting and graduated early with a cum laude designation, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
