Fan Zhang

Venture Capitalist
Fan Zhang is a Founding Managing Partner of Sequoia Capital China. Prior to Sequoia Capital, he worked at DFJ ePlanet Ventures, where he served on the boards of Baidu Technology (BIDU) and Kongzhong Corporation (KONG), and led the investment in Focus Media (FMCN). Fan was named one of the "Top 10 Most Active Venture Capitalists" in 2004 and 2005 by zero2ipo, the leading venture capital consulting and research firm in China, and in 2006 was selected as one of the “Top Venture Capitalists in China” by Forbes magazine. Previously, Fan worked at the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs Asia. Fan studied Computer Science at Tsinghua University, and received a BA and an MBA from Stanford University.
