When we first met
Gaurav Garg paired-up Bill and Victor in 2002 on a defunct project started in our offices. The project name foreshadowed it's predictable demise-Sequoia Capital Entertainment Operating System (SCEOS). They saw something none of us could, renamed it Video54 and volunteered to work on it, free of salary, over the course of the year. The first market was consumer home media with a wi-fi product to sling video from room to room. Enter Selina Lo in 2004. Mike Goguen worked side by side with Selina at Centillion where Doug Leone was on the board for Sequoia. It was Selina who named the company Ruckus and helped Bill and Victor pivot towards IPTV, then public venue wi-fi, then into today's carrier business-all based on the same tightly integrated IP that Bill and Victor invented back in 2002. This team defines tenacity and fortitude.
