Amplitude helps companies build better products.

Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack
Remote
Job Description / Skills Required

Amplitude’s mission is to help companies build better products.  By building best-in-class teams, we create best-in-class products that customers love.  We approach challenges with humility, we take ownership over our work, and our growth mindset pushes us to constantly improve ourselves, each other, and the value we bring to customers.

We’re looking for a founding member to join a new team within Amplitude focused on a new product bet. You will own the development of all SDKs for this new product bet. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Javascript, Objective-C, Swift, and Java, as well as potentially other languages as we expand our SDK coverage to additional platforms. Along with the core SDK responsibilities, you will also be involved in building innovative customer facing web interfaces and backend endpoints to support these interfaces. You will spend time writing type-safe Javascript, Node.js, Postgres and GraphQL. This is a unique opportunity to join a new, small team within Amplitude, where you will work directly with founders and executives in the company on a high priority initiative.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Lay the foundational strategy of developing SDKs for our new product line
  • Own and invest in a suite of open source SDKs, including JavaScript, Android and iOS.
  • Work closely with our early customers to deliver new SDK features and supporting API endpoints.
  • Manage end-to-end build/test/deploy processes for all of our SDKs
  • Lead discussions with fellow engineers on the best way to iterate on product while making sure our customers have a seamless experience with our SDKs

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • Have strong experience in one of Javascript, Node.js, or React.
  • Have experience developing web and mobile apps and working with the respective platform build tools.
  • Enjoy working in small, fast moving teams.
  • Like to work closely with customers to build features and solve problems
  • Like to work independently and practice good project management skills.
  • Comfortable with switching between different languages and platforms.
