We’re searching for an experienced Technical Program Manager to partner deeply with the head of infrastructure software to drive successful program execution and team velocity across the infrastructure group.

In this role, you will

  • Partner deeply with the head of infrastructure software to drive successful program execution and team velocity across the infrastructure group of teams, including Cloud Infrastructure Platform, Data Platform, Developer Platform, UX/UI Platform, Onboard and Offboard Middleware, and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) platform. Be an effective proxy in program and organizational matters to help team leads scale.
  • Ensure that the organization’s technical roadmap is well understood and that our programs and staffing are aligned with that roadmap. Partner with product integration leads to scope, staff, and deliver infrastructure capabilities to achieve or accelerate company milestones.
  • Track and communicate the progress of the group’s key programs. Define efficient processes for communicating group program status more broadly.
  • Identify, resolve, and escalate key cross-organization and cross-company infrastructure dependencies. Remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress, identify gaps in communication or schedule, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities, and drive results proactively.
  • Understand technical implementation at the architectural level and propose technical alternatives when necessary; ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective.
  • Define pragmatic, efficient program management structure at the group level that enables Infrastructure teams, leads, and program managers to more effectively partner, plan, and execute in unison and provide broad awareness to how work is progressing across the organization. Function as a go-to resource for project management mentorship.
  • Identify and resolve systemic execution issues across the group that require group level initiatives to resolve.
  • Support Infrastructure leads and TPMs with quarterly and ongoing staffing plans across the organization, particularly where difficult prioritization conflicts exist. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years experience as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager.
  • Experience with modern infrastructure systems at scale, including cloud computing systems, automated data pipelines, developer infrastructure, and/or middleware.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, safety critical systems, large scale integrated engineering development, or R&D environments is beneficial.
  • Experience in working in environments that have a strong systems (both HW and SW integration) aspects is beneficial
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely with engineers.
  • Strong experience in project management; practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ability to apply them where best suited.
