Job Description / Skills Required

Glossier is looking for a passionate and high-performing Director of Talent Acquisition. This individual will define and drive best-in-class recruiting strategies and practices for Glossier by partnering closely with our business leaders and leading, mentoring, and growing Glossier’s recruiting team. This individual will lead a team of technical and non-technical recruiting professionals and should be adept at guiding a team of recruiters through the entire talent acquisition life cycle. This individual will have a proven track record of diversifying teams, with exceptional knowledge of external D&I organizations, tools, and inclusive sourcing and hiring practices. This individual will also take ownership of full cycle recruiting for executive roles and should have experience identifying, engaging, and closing leadership talent.

Six Month Expectations 

  • Build, develop and implement a unique-to-Glossier Talent Acquisition strategy, from identification to close/onboarding
  • Establish clear goals for the recruiting team, including goals related to diversity and inclusion
  • Establish and lead sourcing strategies, with a focus on diversity and inclusion
  • Develop an employer branding strategy, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, demonstrating a deep understanding of Glossier’s values and value proposition
  • Increase operational rigor and deliver data dashboards to share with executives, hiring managers, and the broader organization

Twelve+ Month Expectations

  • Establish strategy for building talent pipelines for current and future Glossier hiring needs
  • Implement systems to ensure that the recruiting team is able to deliver against hiring plan
  • Identify solutions to improve identification, engagement, interviewing, close and onboarding processes on an ongoing basis
  • Evaluate and improve on the selection process, ensuring that hiring managers are equipped with tools to effectively, efficiently, and inclusively evaluate talent for Glossier
  • Evaluate and improve the candidate experience in a post-pandemic world
  • Execute and iterate on the employer branding strategy


  • Build, develop and implement a unique-to-Glossier Talent Acquisition strategy
  • Work with business leaders to understand the recruiting implications of business plans, develop and execute strategies to deliver on these plans, and measure success
  • Lead, grow, and inspire a strong team of technical and non-technical recruiters to increase productivity and engagement
  • Build effective working relationships with functional leaders within the organization and be recognized as a trusted advisor in all areas of recruitment, from identification to onboarding
  • Ensure a consistent focus on diversity and inclusion in all recruiting programs and processes and measure progress regularly
    Lead with data, analytics and insights to drive operational improvements and ultimately operational excellence to support our rapid growth
  • Lead the team to deliver against hiring plan, putting in place operational systems capable of scaling to match business growth
  • Design cutting-edge sourcing strategies to be utilized by recruiters and hiring managers
  • Develop and implement recruiting processes to drive efficiency and ease
  • Own the candidate experience, keeping it as a priority for the recruiting and hiring team
  • Partner closely with the People Operations and HR teams on on-boarding, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires at Glossier
  • Lead targeted executive searches, identifying and engaging leadership for Glossier
