The 99 Group operates multiple Digital Real Estate platforms in Indonesia, like 99.co/id and Rumah123.com. This role as Engineering Manager will have a deep influence on our technology platforms to offer and support superior Agent experiences.
We are looking for people with a technical mindset, curiosity and passion to reshape the future of 99 through exceptional engineering practices, software development, and design. Strong ability to form cross functional partnerships, coach and guide/mentor the software engineers will be critical to success in this role.

- Passion in software engineering, application development, or systems development
- Passion for leading teams and growing people
- Excellent understanding of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and using Data Structures & Algorithms to solve problems
- Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability.
- Set the standards for technical excellence and train oncall (Rapid Response) team members
- Be involved during Live site incidents and act as a bridge to suggest process and technology improvements to resolve issues faster and prevent future occurrences
- Ability to make connections between technical components across various domains and increase throughput, engineering excellence steadily in the team.
- Expertise in GoLang, Python or PHP tech stack will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influence skills and personal maturity
- At least 3 years of technical hands-on team lead experience.
- Some experience in Test Automation and Infrastructure Stacks with Docker, CI(Travis/Jenkis), Kubernetes will be a huge plus
What you will do
- Take ownership and drive the delivery of quarterly goals and sprint-level commitments for a broad domain like Agent Engagement across multiple portals
- Manage a team of 6-10 Engineers (Technical Leads and Individual Contributors) directly and coach & Mentor them to success
- Be a thought leader across the org for Engineering best practices.
- Work with Architects and senior engineers across multiple squads to come up with engineering solutions that solve key problems.
- Interface regularly with VP of Engg and other management stakeholders and understand business problems to solve with engineering solutioning
