Ironclad

Ironclad builds contracts solutions that empower legal teams to do more legal work, less paperwork.

Strategic Initiatives
San Francisco, CA, US
Job Description / Skills Required

Contracts are the most important unsolved problem in modern business. Businesses run on contracts—but they slow businesses down, and cost companies millions.

At Ironclad, we’re reimagining contracts, turning them from blockers into business enablers and data pipelines. L’Oréal, Staples, Mastercard, and leading innovators use Ironclad to collaborate and negotiate on contracts, accelerate contracting while maintaining compliance, and turn contracts into critical carriers of operational business intelligence. We’re backed by leading investors like Accel, Y Combinator, Sequoia and BOND, and have been named a Great Place to Work - join us!

The Strategic Initiatives team is a small but mighty squad that partners with all teams at Ironclad to drive growth. We identify mission critical questions, deliver objective analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to enable results. Every project is different. You may find yourself working on our pricing and packaging, project managing our post merger activities, operationalizing new systems and processes… or simply providing thought partnership in a pinch!

We are open to hiring in our San Francisco, Indianapolis, New York City and Remote offices for this role.

What you'll be doing

    • Breaking ambiguous problems into a set of crucial questions
    • Balancing quantitative rigor and qualitative color
    • Partnering with a wide range of stakeholders
    • Working methodically to operationalize change
    • Refining iteratively, to make good, better, and better best

Key skills

      • Intellectual curiosity: You know that you’ll be working on a wide range of topics, and are excited to ramp up, again and again!

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: You’re comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences, and flex easily between the big picture and the deep details.

      • Strong relationship building chops: You know that great ideas can come from anyone, and that the best work is done together. You actively seek out perspectives, listen patiently, and refine your recommendations thoughtfully. Most of all, you bring people along - inviting them to reconsider their opinions, as you revisit your own.

      • Creativity, conviction and moxie: You value deep thought, but acknowledge that there will be situations where you need to make game-time decisions with imperfect information. You’ll recognize those quickly, reasoning from first principles, driving clarity, and biasing towards action thereafter.

    • Organizational agility, and comfort with ambiguity: You know that priorities may shift, and your scope may too. You focus on the opportunity change creates, and reprioritize your efforts readily.
