Embark Trucks is America’s Longest-Running Self-Driving Truck Program and is bringing autonomous freight mainstream. As covered by the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Forbes, TechCrunch and and other outlets, Embark has announced plans to go public via a $5.2 billion SPAC deal that is intended to provide Embark $614 million to fund future expansion. Currently, Embark moves freight between LA and Phoenix using our purpose-built transfer hubs. Embark has aligned itself with truck manufacturers, shippers, and carriers to integrate our technology into the freight ecosystem, pursuing a business model where fleets own and operate Embark trucks. This is an incredibly exciting time for autonomous vehicles and our team is looking to grow.
We are looking for our first IR team member to lead the effort within the company setting and executing on the strategy and building and managing relationships within the industry. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with our finance and executive teams. 

Projects Will Include:

    • Support executives and the CFO in building the relationships with analysts, investors and Wall Street
    • Building strategy and best practices within the IR space
    • Developing a robust understanding of the competitive landscape and being able to tell the Embark story, how it fits into the industry including key metrics, milestones and differentiators
    • Working on and supporting the quarterly earnings process including scripts, press, presentations, disclosures and any required meetings
    • Attend and lead investor conferences hosted by various institutional and investment banks
    • Work with our HR and communications team to build the internal and external messaging around key financial results and other product news

Your Experience Should Include:

    • 8+ years of experience in investor relations, or equity analysis
    • Relationships with the buy side and sell-side communities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Financial modeling, valuation, and strong quant skills
    • Taking complex stories and able to communicate clearly and effectively
