As the Head of Data Insights, you will report to our Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and partner closely with the Sales, CS, and Product Leadership teams to evangelize the use of data in sales.  Leveraging Gong’s revenue intelligence data sets, you will act as a thought leader about the use of data, lead high-impact initiatives, and scale analytics tools that create value for our customers, our sales teams, and our business. Put simply: you will use data to change how we sell and how companies use revenue intelligence.


  • Work closely with prospective customers and Sales team to understand how Gong helps customers meet their strategic objectives by identifying key business drivers; Build robust models to illustrate the insights surfaced by Gong
  • Identify target operational and financial metrics impacted by Gong and use these metrics to develop ROI models to quantify the strategic value of Gong solutions
  • Partner with Research and Product teams to define and execute the analytics roadmap to provide insights that fuel our ongoing businesses
  • Drive external Data Insights thought leadership as needed


  • 5+ years in a strategic / consultative / analytics role 
  • 2+ years as a people manager
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools to query large data-sets (e.g. Tableau, SiSense, etc.)
  • Expert Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, CS, Economics, Business, Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields, OR equivalent experience


  • Self-starter: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results
  • Analytical thinker: Comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy
  • Adaptable to change: Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Effective communications: Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Executive presence: Experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership
  • CRM data expertise: Knowledge of reporting and dashboarding with data from a CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Tech Industry or SaaS experience: Subject matter expertise in B2B sales processes and/or experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments
