Vice President, Business Development

TuneIn is hiring for the leader of its Business Development organization. We seek an accomplished business development professional with experience not just building partnerships and revenue, but also developing sophisticated organizations. In this role you will build and lead our business development team and partner with leaders of our Product, Engineering, Content, Marketing, Revenue and Customer Support teams to develop, evaluate and grow existing and new device and technology partnerships (e.g., voice assistants, smart speakers, game consoles, set-top boxes, connected TVs, automobiles, mobile phones, tablets, PCs, software bundles). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated global business development experience and the ability to build, drive and manage advanced, world-class partner relationships. 
What You'll Do
·        Build and lead the Business Development organization at TuneIn
·        Design strategies and lead partnerships that support TuneIn’s business goals
·        Lead global business development efforts to build high impact relationships and facilitate the distribution of the TuneIn service through new and existing hardware and software integrations
·        Manage the sourcing, development and execution of engagement strategies and large marketing campaigns for TuneIn’s key global partner relationships (e.g., Amazon, Apple, Bose, Google, Microsoft, Roku, Sonos, Tesla) with the objective to increase app installs, listening, user engagement, subscriber acquisition, content promotion and brand awareness
·        Create, maintain and evolve the distribution roadmap in conjunction with applicable cross-functional teams
·        Collaborate with TuneIn’s broader Marketing and Content teams for strategic alignment on partner programming, messaging and general brand priorities for key distribution partners (e.g., CNN, ESPN, MSNBC)
·        Day-to-day partner management; manage partner relationships across their entire lifecycle from onboarding to ongoing success
·        Anticipate and resolve resource gaps, obstacles and timing issues. Ensure efficient use of company resources cross-functionally
·        Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues
·        Research, track and communicate key industry trends, analysis and actionable insights to drive the business development and product teams to best assess partnership opportunities
·        Analyze partner performance through reporting and data analysis and provide key requirements to technical teams to establish relevant partner tracking and reporting
·        Bachelor’s Degree
·        10+ years building, managing and developing a business development team
·        15+ years of business development experience or similar partnership management experience, preferably with a focus on technology, media and/or digital subscription service
·        Demonstrated results in development and execution of strategy to build and maintain successful business partnerships
·        Can-do attitude and strong bias to action. Always seeking to improve through change and innovation
·        Ability to set measurable goals for the team and reliably execute on them
·        Experience with market analysis and industry research; ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data
·        Detailed industry knowledge across entertainment, digital and technology, with a pulse on emerging trends
·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to address both business and technical audiences, and experience presenting to executives/decision makers
·        Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment, including collaborating actively and effectively on multidisciplinary teams
·        Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
·        Proficiency in Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint
·        Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
·        MBA or other advanced degree
·        Experience establishing and managing connected device partnerships
·        Experience with subscription businesses
·        Knowledge and direct experience with international markets
·       Financial planning, forecasting and valuation experience
