Our mission is to help users discover the value of Houzz. You will work across all aspects of Houzz to identify opportunities for growth, develop and iterate features to improve the user experience across both our web site and 5-star rated apps.
Growth engineers focus on the new user experience, content personalization, and user analytics/infrastructure. Projects include building personalized content feeds to drive engagement on both the main homepage and emails, determining how to best leverage the many channels we have to communicate with our users, and creating new landing page experiences that connect all that Houzz offers - photos, industry professionals, products, stories, and discussions. You will also dive deeply into data analytics and user research to better understand our users.
Driving the ideation, implementation, and A/B testing of product features to drive user retention
Developing infrastructure and features to serve the most relevant and engaging content to Houzz users
Improving the new user experience so that every user understands the value of Houzz
Building the analytics infrastructure to help us better understand our users' needs
Working cross-functionally across product, marketing and editorial teams to identify and leverage opportunities for growth
Required Skills and Experience
An analytical, growth oriented mindset combined with a passion for diving into and discovering trends in data
Comfortable working on fast paced, data-driven projects
Proficiency in web stack programming, from schema design to building user-facing interfaces
B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience developing consumer facing features at web scale (XXm+)
Proven experience with A/B testing user features and rapid product iteration
