Meet TuneIn Content Team:
The Content Team at TuneIn is seeking an experienced executive to lead podcast programming and engagement for TuneIn's content platform. With 4 million podcasts available today at tunein.com, this executive will be responsible for building and collaborating on a long term vision and strategy in addition to managing current content initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
-Execute spoken word programming and engagement for TuneIn's platform
-Business development and strategic partnerships: establish and manage relationships with producers and secure content partnerships with major brands
-Measure and improve the breadth, depth and timeliness on every channel
-Create unique, compelling and cutting-edge content, studying TuneIn's audience and outside platforms to set listening goals and targets for each individual channel/format
-Collaborate with the marketing and branded content teams to curate custom stations for brand partners and advertisers
-Work cross-functionally and collaborate with the product, finance and sales to generate revenue-generating sponsorship opportunitiesIdentify, recruit, and hire a team of content format captains, on-air talent and producers to expand TuneIn’s O&O talk channels
Who You Are:
Our ideal candidate has crossed the intersections of entertainment and technology, business development, licensing, copyrights, contract negotiation and spoken word programming at a large network and/or digital platform and has the ability and willingness to pivot on a daily basis from strategic to tactical.
We seek a candidate with past experience and successes in three key areas:
-Strong chops in writing, storytelling, podcasts and the creative vision to outline and execute content strategy
-Robust network of contacts and artist/labels in the business of content creation
-Operational expertise in programming multiple content formats
-5- 10 years’ experience in the digital content business
-Knowledgeable and passionate about the history of podcasting and its connection with popular culture and trendsFunctional knowledge of operations, distribution, and marketing of podcasts
-Experienced in analytical study of ratings charts and using social platforms to use that data to help move the listening needle on TuneIn's custom channels
-Well-versed in new trends and emerging podcasts from within multiple genres and formats
-Possesses a broad understanding of, and descriptive language and metadata used, within the streaming audio industry
-Multi-tasker who can skillfully balance several projects simultaneously
-Experienced in managing outside vendors and leading internal teamsKnowledge of successful international radio formats in other countries is a plus
