Enterprise Sales Representative (Remote - West Coast)

Job Description / Skills Required

GitHub helps companies and organizations succeed by allowing them to build better software, together. We're looking for Enterprise Sales Reps to work with our largest customers to build great relationships, help them to learn about GitHub and our products and facilitate the buying process. We care about customer success and customer service, and we're extremely passionate about the quality of our work. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude and passion to become a master of GitHub’s product capabilities, underlying technology, and competitive advantages.


Work all large named enterprise customers
Primary interface to prospects and customers; assist buying process including answering questions and providing information
Working with customers to communicate how GitHub Enterprise can fit with their business needs
Liaison with the technical sales team for all technical questions
Assist with demos and trials
Provide quotes and negotiating close
Expand usage of GitHub Enterprise in installed customers by coordinating activities with customer advocates to sell GitHub


5-10 years of successful sales experience
Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience
Ability to assess customer needs
Strong presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative and team oriented
Interest in Git and GitHub
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to become deeply fluent in the GitHub's technology and the industry

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows
High energy and positive attitude
Ability to take initiative
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Flexible (ability to work across different time zones) and able to think quickly
Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
