Senior Network Engineer
Stockholm, SE
Job Description / Skills Required

Klarna continues to grow, and our network infrastructure needs to continuously evolve to meet Klarnas future needs. We are now in need of a senior network engineer to work strategically with these emerging technologies and help us improve our operations. Klarna handles millions of transactions every year and our organisation is implementing more and more business-critical systems to address the needs of our expanding business. We have several offices in Europe as well as US.
ITOPS Core Services consists of sysadmins, network engineers and telephony administrators. As a part of the network team you will be working with other teams within Klarna but perhaps most closely together with our sysadmins and the security team. We need you to be able to communicate clearly and understand the needs from the business.
The network team is responsible for Data Center networks, office networks, internal and external connectivity. We work with advanced data center switch fabrics, high performance firewalls and load balancers as well as smaller remote office firewalls and switches. We have presences in both Europe and USA.
Your role in the team will be to help us to get to the next generation of highly automated data center networks. Your focus will be on strategic work, what’s hot or not, what to automate or not. Your primary area of expertise is probably within data center solutions, but you also have some experience in secure office networks as well. You will be highly involved in our external relations.
We believe in automating boring and repetitive tasks. To do this we would like you to have experience in automation with Python and Ansible.
We expect you to have very good knowledge in network techniques like switching, routing, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC, DNS and DHCP.
To be comfortable in your role at Klarna we also believe that you have good knowledge and experience in:
IDS/IPS
DDOS protection systems
Monitoring tools
Scripting, python, ansible
Amazon Web services
Akamai services
Authentication services like 802.1x, radius, NPS, LDAP
Linux/Windows server OS
Linux/Windows/MAC clients
