What We Need

Prosper is seeking a Data Warehouse Architect to lead the development and maintenance of a centralized data warehouse that serves as the primary / single source of truth for a wide range of analytic use cases. The ideal candidate will enthusiastically lead a review of our current data systems, define a vision for a robust long-term data warehouse architecture plan, and execute implementation in partnership with data engineers and analysts on the BI team.

What You Will Do

Designing and maintaining a data warehouse that serves as the primary (if not single) source of truth for analytic use cases across Prosper’s many business functons
Collaborate with decentralized analysts and business partners to define and capture changing analytic requirements and map them into data requirements
Work with centralized team of data engineer’s to create standards and implement solutions for – fact & dimension models; SSIS ETL packages; third party data transfers into and out of Prosper
Partner with the Engineering team as a member of the Architecture Review Board to review and provide feedback on changes to the production data systems such that source systems, the data warehouse, and dependent analytics maintain robust integrity
Act as Prosper’s data expert and understand all data sources and the detailed nuances of all data elements
Work with data science, marketing analytics, product analytics, risk, operations, and engineering teams to enable analytic environments with appropriate data sets for ad- hoc analysis, model development, direct mail execution, LTV analysis, multi-touch analysis, operational efficiency analysis, product diagnosis, and exploration of new data sets
Stay current on developing trends in data management and data warehouse innovation

What You Will Need To Have

Must exhibit strong communication skills, empathy, and initiative
7+ years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining relational / data warehousing environments (custom or structured ETL, preferably working directly with large data environments)
Strong background in Data Warehousing concepts and schema design
History of designing, building and launching extremely efficient & reliable data pipelines to move data (both large and small amounts) throughout Data Warehouse
Expert SQL experience, with ability to optimize queries for high volume environments
Experience with shell scripting, and writing ETL scripts in Python and SQL
Experience working closely with Analytics/Data Science teams
Ability to manage full project lifecycles
Experience with git, github, and the pull request workflow

Bonus Points for:

Advanced CS degree
Experience in Big Data frameworks (such as Hadoop, Apache Spark is a plus)
