What you will achieve:

Demonstrating deep understanding of and providing expert guidance on the regulations governing communications and advertisement for financial services (e.g. FINRA, SEC, FCA, IIROC)
Being a strong evangelist of our products from a compliance perspective in the financial services vertical
Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to the company on product strategy through the compliance lens
Staying up-to-date on the compliance competitive landscape and the industry trends
Regulatory outreach and lobbying of our products to our prospective clients
Regular attendance of regulatory/compliance conferences
Branding yourself as the “face of compliance” and a thought leader on the subject matter by speaking at conferences and writing thoughtful articles on it
Becoming the leader of the company's compliance advisory council
Training internal employees on compliance matters
Gaining understanding and expertise of international compliance issues, particularly in the UK and Canada

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of experience in compliance, ideally within financial services
Strong knowledge of advertising regulations, social media strongly preferred, and the specific compliance issues it faces
Experience in public speaking (ie, presenting at conferences, speaking on panels, etc)
Demonstrated thought leadership through published articles and blogs
Strong communication skills and polished persona in order to represent the company well, establish credibility and gain the trust of our clients
Proven ability to speak and write authoritatively on compliance
Open to traveling 35-50% of the time, particularly during the spring and fall season, to attend conferences and meet with clients
