Half of all K-12 schools in America and more than 300 software developers already use Clever to bring learning technology to the classroom… but we want to help them do more. We’ve built a new suite of analytics products that will help schools understand how their software is being used, and we’re looking for a sales leader to own taking it to scale in American schools. This person will build out our district-facing sales team, write a new playbook for us, and direct a ground-up effort to lead schools to great purchasing and usage decisions. Responsibilities

Responsible for acquiring and growing Clever’s revenue with new analytics products
Responsible for hiring, retaining and leading world class sales teams selling to K-12 school districts
Lead and manage the team in achieving individual, team, and organizational sales goals
Define and execute Clever’s sales strategy
Provide operational leadership to the sales team including sales forecasting, territory assignments, sales coaching and commission planning
Partner with sales operations in developing annual sales forecasts using a combination of top-down and bottom-up input
Ensure the sales team is working collaboratively with operations, customer success, marketing and other internal/external teams
Keep ahead of industry trends, competitive activity and client opportunities
Attend trade shows, industry events, internal meetings and conferences

Requirements

5+ years of experience of successful sales leadership with direct reports selling to districts
Extensive sales experience within SaaS enterprise selling to CAOs and CTOs
Proven track record of capturing and growing customer and market share in a profitable manner
Ability to build and lead a sales organization, including quota-carrying and forecasting experience
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Experience devising sales strategy and developing/contributing to enablement programs
Strong executive presence
