This is a unique opportunity to help write the playbook on a new high-impact team at DoorDash.
We are a start-up team within DoorDash that is launching DoorDash’s logistics technology into new verticals, and the Drive Strategy & Operations Manager will be a critical part of this team. In a typical day, the Strategy & Ops Manager should be able to navigate complex negotiations, close deals with our top partners, and work side-by-side with our Engineering team to build new product features. They blend creativity and analytics to solve the difficult problems impeding Drive’s growth.

What you’ll do
Devise and execute strategies to target new verticals for DoorDash Drive
Generate new business opportunities by developing relationships and closing deals with top partners
Engage with internal stakeholders from the Product, Engineering, Marketing, Merchant, Support and other teams to solve operational challenges
Identify key issues, seek creative solutions to problems as they arise, and find ways to implement them within the confines of our technology infrastructure
Build models to evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partner acquisition, engagement, and retention programs and experiments
Devise methodologies to monitor the overall health of the Drive business
Problem solver — you can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans
Passionate about execution - you’re a born operator who likes nothing more than to hit deadlines and successfully complete key projects on your roadmap
Self-starter — you have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
Relationship builder — you can build deep and meaningful relationships with partners and convey DoorDash's value proposition
Incredibly resourceful and persistent – you never admit defeat, you do more with less, you love big challenges, and you constantly seek new ways to make it work!
3-5 years of experience in consulting / strategy / business development / operations / technology / banking / analytics or related experience; high-growth or early-stage start-up experience is a plus
Track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment
Experience in a customer-facing or relationship management role is a plus
Excellent Excel skills; SQL knowledge is a plus, but not required
