Job Mission
The Logistics Analyst will provide operational and analytical leadership in international logistics and trade compliance operations . The position will play an integral role in partnering with several cross functional areas across the business to ensure growth initiatives are properly supported, while delivering a high level of service quality and appropriately managing expense.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Further develop and manage global inbound transportation operations
Lead service provider management efforts, with a focus on international air/ocean providers and customs brokers
Lead trade compliance operations, including HTS classification and internal import/export processes
Manage Duty Drawback program and identify product qualification for preferential duty treatment under Free Trade Agreements
Advise product development teams regarding import requirements and duty rates in support of vendor selection and sourcing efforts
Lead process improvement efforts with key cross functional partners and provide support to three diverse brands’ growth initiatives
Lead carrier contract negotiations, with a focus on international inbound transportation and brokerage
Work with Director to evaluate and select service providers
Manage carrier contracts to ensure proper compliance and execution and take corrective action when necessary
Hold service providers accountable for performance by challenging appropriately and effectively
Display a working knowledge of carrier rates and services and leverage knowledge to properly inform cross functional partners
Perform intermediate cost and process analysis and leverage results to make key decisions
Serve as the primary contact for transportation reporting and analytics
Identify freight and duty savings opportunities, implement process changes, and measure and report results
Provide leadership and direction to other Logistics associates regarding day to day operations and projects
Develop and maintain internal and external standard operating procedures
Job Qualifications
Specifically, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain
5-7 years of international transportation and/or trade compliance experience. Customs brokerage license a plus.
Working knowledge of international trade rules and regulations, including customs compliance, HTS classification, and Incoterms.
Demonstrated experience managing service provider relationships, contracts, and performance
Demonstrated advanced Excel experience. Familiarity with Access a plus.
The ability to stretch vertically and interact effectively with all career levels within the company
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, lead conversations and influence others
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively and be willing to accept and provide direction
Creative thinking, willingness to share opinion and challenge the status quo
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment and manage competing priorities
Strong ability to dissect and speak to analytical information
Positive attitude and the ability to change direction with little notice
Experience leading cross-functionally and maintaining positive working relationships
