POPSUGAR is seeking a passionate, driven, and intellectually curious individual to join the POPSUGAR Insights team. The Senior Manager, Insights is a position at POPSUGAR which reports to the Vice President of Consumer Insights. The position sits within POPSUGAR’s Media Division and is critical to the company’s sales strategy -- developing insights to drive long-term brand partnerships.
Ideal candidate will be an outgoing, well-spoken, individual who is committed to using data creatively to generate insights, identify white spaces, and solve challenges for both internal and external partners.
Support the day-to-day efforts of The Bakery, leveraging POPSUGAR’s proprietary data and research to develop unique, client-focused insights for internal and external partners.
Become a category expert, developing vertical category presentations focused on educating internal and external clients on the key trends and insights for specific lifestyle categories.
Leverage third-party research and social listening tools to develop proprietary insights for clients and support POPSUGAR competitive positioning.
Conduct original research to generate new category or audience-focused insights.
Develop reports to communicate the success of POPSUGAR editorial performance. Identify key trends based on internal trending data, and clearly communicate learnings with internal and external clients.
5+ years in insights, consumer research, or marketing analytics, preferably with 3+ years digital experience
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing marketing stories based on insights and presenting to external partners
Ability to translate business needs to data scientists and inspire new ways of interpreting data or identify insights from large and disparate data sets
Experience communicating requirements to Product & Engineering teams
Working knowledge of statistical modeling techniques
