Developing technology that aims to transform cancer to a preventable and manageable disease.
At Guardant Health we believe conquering cancer is a big data problem. That’s why we built the world’s leading comprehensive liquid biopsy. This non-invasive tool for accessing and sequencing tumor DNA is used by thousands of oncologists to help tens of thousands of advanced cancer patients. We believe the boom in cancer data acquisition we helped launch will drive important discoveries and new products. We’re working on some exciting ones, including in early detection, where the impact on patients can be profound. We’ve raised more than $500 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, OrbiMed, and SoftBank.
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will drive the marketing functions necessary for the development and launch of Guardant Health’s early detection products.
The existence of a minimally invasive, highly sensitive and specific test for early-stage cancer holds great promise for improving patient outcomes across a broad spectrum of cancer applications. We are working to develop tests that may one day allow for the detection of residual disease, the adjudication of indeterminate test results, the detection of early stage cancer in high risk patients, and perhaps even early detection in ordinary-risk patients. The development of such tests has been Guardant Health's goal from day one.
You will work with executive management and product development to define our best markets and indications, develop the go-to-market plans, and help drive the launch for these products. This job entails a broad range of responsibilities, and only a creative self-starter will succeed.
You will work with marketing analytics for primary and secondary market research for our early detection products, and will provide market analysis, including impact analysis of competitor product offerings and emerging scientific data.
You will develop product marketing plans to drive customer activation and retention for our early detection products with both physicians and patients.
You will work with the marketing team to manage the brand for these products, and will be responsible for product launches and pricing. You will work closely with Managed Care to develop a reimbursement and payment plan, with Sales to leverage our field force, with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development to develop a data and KOL plan, and Digital Engagement to create tools that ease adoption of these technologies.
You will implement systems to measure our KPIs, and bring a mix of both marketing creativity and hardheaded ROI focus to the job.
Most importantly, you will consider new and innovative ways to bring these products to market, and will not be hamstrung by traditional diagnostic marketing plans.
You have superior communication skills and are creative, organized, and scrappy. You understand best practices across a broad range of marketing disciplines, but are not afraid to try things that have never been done. Happy in a fast-paced environment, you are comfortable with blue-sky strategy or detailed tactical implementation.
You move comfortably from pitching executives, to outlining a brand awareness program, to ROI analysis, to a pricing analysis. You bring creative and critical thinking skills to create well-defined solutions. You aspire to be a CMO or CEO someday, and are excited to take on a high-profile project in a fast-moving company.
