About the Job:

In the role of Senior Operations Supervisor, you’ll help ensure that our Foodhub runs smoothly by leading a team of Associates through the daily workflow. You’ll spend about half of your time working alongside the team, triaging issues as they arise while ensuring the tasks that need to be accomplished on the shift are completed accurately, efficiently, and completely. You’ll spend the other half of your time on administrative tasks, management functions, & project work.

Major Responsibilities

Manage team of 5-12 Operations Associates

Provide management and leadership support to team as a whole



Performance management

Work collaboratively with other teams to develop and roll out process improvement opportunities

Understand and competently perform all processes associated with your shift

Provide associates with direction and performance feedback on process steps including:


Product storage and staging.

Product preparation including: weighing and separating product, marking product with identifying information.

Packing of groceries and similar items.

Ensuring work/general areas are cleaned and organized

Inventory management tasks

Quality assurance


Build and optimize schedule for team of 6 - 10, working on diverse activities, with shifts spanning 10 hours a day, 5 days a week

Provide team members with direction and performance feedback on process steps and relay information on Associate performance to Ops Managers

Lead shifts to meet and exceed established metrics for efficiency and accuracy

Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for team

Assist management with the following duties:

Hiring and onboarding new associates

Training, developing and coaching associates

Scheduling, reviewing hours, approving overtime and submitting time for payroll processing.

Tracking associate performance issues

Collect process improvement feedback from the team

Maintain quality of service by following operational standards

Work with Ops Managers on labor balancing and areas of other cross-team collaboration


High School diploma or equivalent. College degree a plus.

5 or more years of warehousing and/or grocery experience. Work with local, seasonal produce and other grocery products a plus.

2 or more years leadership experience, including managing 5 or more direct reports

Good communication skills

Time management skills

Organizational skills



Meticulous attention to detail

A hustle mentality

Proficiency in the use of computers and basic software (spreadsheets, email)

Ability to use warehousing software and equipment after training.

Proficiency in spoken / written English

Special Requirements

Personal appropriate footwear for warehouse / cooler work

Physical Requirements

Able to lift 50 lbs

Working Conditions

Some work duties may be performed outdoors.
