This key role will help us continue to discover, test, execute, and analyze the highest-impact growth drivers for our business, helping Eventbrite continue to scale around the globe.
The Growth and Acquisition Team works cross-functionally through the full funnel: data-driven marketing (ie: SEO, performance marketing), conversion rate optimization, user onboarding, virality, freemium, product upsells/upgrades, and more. We focus on the highest-impact areas that drive our numbers, with an emphasis on our self-service product for event creators (customers that sign up and start selling tickets on their own, without talking to Sales). Reporting directly to the VP of Growth & Acquisition, you will lead the charge in driving measurement, testing, and insights that lift our business around the world. You will play a key role in answering big strategic questions (ie: what big-picture trends are we seeing in the market, what new channels/strategies should we test and how are they performing, how should we best scale across four continents?) and crucial operational questions (ie: how are X, Y, and Z portions of the business performing and why, as well as how should we spend our incremental marketing dollars for most impact?).
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to hone their analytical thinking while building a deep understanding of our large-scale and dynamic business. You will leverage SQL query writing, data analysis, and data synthesis to report what’s happening, why it’s happening, and to recommend potential actions. The successful candidate will be a creative self-starter, proactively tackling unstructured problems, then clearly articulating analytical insights to business owners and cross-functional teams, helping them use insights that direct our collective efforts to the highest impact areas.
Lead analytical projects focused on driving customer and revenue growth, working closely with functions spanning Growth, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance.
Mine data and analytics at the prospect and customer level to gain a better understanding of their funnel and engagement behaviors, including impacts of growth, marketing, and conversion rate optimization strategies.
Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex structured and unstructured data sets.
Develop dashboards that provide insights and visualization into channel and funnel performance relative to KPIs, projections, and historical performance. Analyze and determine key insights from business drivers, competitive environment, trends, and operating metrics.
Work on Eventbrite product features and conversion flows like signup, user onboarding, and mobile, as well as offsite marketing channels like SEO, SEM, Facebook, and email.
Implement and analyze A/B or multivariate tests to provide in-depth insights to the product, growth, and marketing teams, explaining the impact of various programs and channels.
Partner closely with the growth team to identify impactful business problems and translate them into relevant analyses and actionable insights.
Analyze and assist progress of acquisition performance (attribution, paid/organic, etc...), customer lifetime value, and user conversion funnel data by identifying opportunities to improve ROI, engagement and retention.
Regularly present findings across teams and to senior management to drive optimal decision making
THE SKILL SET
4-7+ years of relevant experience in analytics and/or data mining
Experience working with full-funnel growth and quantitative internet marketing, including areas such as performance marketing, conversion rate optimization, and engagement / retention, as well as marketing analytics: marketing attribution, channel effectiveness, and ROI analyses
Experience using R and/or Python for mathematical modeling and data manipulation
Advanced SQL querying and Excel skills
Experience using Google Analytics, Tableau and/or other BI tools
Experience working with large quantities of raw, disorganized data, and interpreting them to make business decisions
Highly analytical mindset – you’re curious, quantitative, and insightful. You have a strong mathematical background (statistics and modeling techniques), fundamental understanding of experimental design, experience with a variety of analytical methods, and experience with technical implementation of analyses. You are driven to experiment and learn.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or related technical/quantitative discipline. Master’s degree with minimum 2-3 years work experience will be considered.
