The position requires someone with functional experience including inventory planning methodologies as they apply to demand planning, the ability to analyze and process large amounts of data, strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.The ideal candidate must be able to multi‐task with the ability to manage projects with a strong attention to detail, give and receive feedback, and possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
The Inventory Planner is responsible for pre- and in-season management for Stella & Dot. This includes planning & purchasing inventory to hit target in-stock levels while minimizing overstocks, tracking & reporting results to management and working closely with the cross-functional team to maximize the business.
Take a leading role in managing the Inventory for their area of responsibility and works toward creating a collaborative, innovative and results-orientated environment with their cross functional team
Balance workload priorities across in-season and pre-season planning deliverables to ensure successful execution of inventory management (including buy planning, pre-release forecasting and weekly re-forecasting)
Develop and communicate comprehensive department financial & product strategies
Reconcile top-down & bottoms-up department plans to division plans and forecasts
Develop multiple department level pricing recommendations and strategies in alignment with divisional financial plans
Implement consistent and profitable in-season replenishment strategies and practices
Own receipt reconciliation portion of monthly Open To Buy
Develop department wide risk mitigation plans & execute when appropriate
Strong technical skills in PC based software tools as well as ability to quickly master inventory planning applications
Bachelor’s degree required (in Business or Finance preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required • Proficiency in PC based software tools (Microsoft Excel)
Strong Analytic skills and ability to understand financial metrics and reporting
Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions
Cultivate strong working relationships across multiple cross-functional partners to ensure business success
Demonstrates an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed his/her goals.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Anticipate risks and identify contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur
Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
