Job Mission

The Logistics Coordinator will provide operational and analytical support in international logistics operations. The position will play a key role in partnering with several cross functional areas across the business to ensure a consistent flow of merchandise into fulfillment centers in North America and Europe, while delivering a high level of service quality and appropriately managing expense.

PRIMARY job RESPONSIBILITIES

Track and monitor air and ocean shipments and maintain clear and consistent communication across teams regarding shipment status
Work closely with service providers to ensure on-time delivery and quickly resolve service issues
Manage ocean and air shipment booking and approval process via GT Nexus Supply Chain Visibility application
Perform shipment cost calculations and align to transit time requirements to ensure proper mode and service selection
Support trade compliance operations, including HTS classification and internal import/export processes
Prepare customs documentation and make transportation arrangements for ad hoc export shipments
Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with cross functional teams to implement solutions
Hold service providers accountable for performance by challenging appropriately and effectively
Display a working knowledge of carrier rates and services and leverage knowledge to properly inform cross functional partners
Identify freight and duty savings opportunities, implement process changes, and measure and report results
Develop and maintain internal and external standard operating procedures
job Qualifications

Specifically, you must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain
A minimum of 2 years of international transportation and/or trade compliance experience
Demonstrated experience working effectively with service providers
Familiarity with international trade rules and regulations, including customs compliance, HTS classification, and Incoterms.
Demonstrated intermediate Excel experience. Familiarity with Access a plus.
The ability to stretch vertically and interact effectively with all career levels within the company
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, lead conversations and influence others
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively and be willing to accept and provide direction
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment and manage competing priorities
Positive attitude and the ability to change direction with little notice
Experience working collaboratively and maintaining positive working relationships
COMPENSATION

Competitive compensation, including base salary, and performance based bonus depending on experience.
