Why You Matter

We’re looking for a Full-stack Web Application Developer with Front-end Focus who will join a team of developers building and extending front-end capabilities within the Carbon Black Predictive Security Cloud. The Predictive Security Cloud is a big data environment that aggregates data from across millions of customer endpoints and provides that data as input to ML, expert systems analytics and streaming prevention, as well as user analysis by threat researchers and intel analysts. These capabilities in turn power all Carbon Black products.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to the development of front-end applications using web technologies (HTML5, CSS, & JavaScript)
Generate useable and beautiful ways to present both timely and voluminous amounts of threat data
Bring a strong sense of empathy for the users of the applications you create and maintain.
Work closely with user-experience and design team to review and implement visual designs for both specific UI controls and overall application workflows.
Read, review, and give feedback on other team members' code in a positive and constructive manner.
Receive feedback in the same positive and constructive manner.

What You’ll Bring

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and working knowledge of at least one reactive JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.).
Analytics & data visualization experience. Familiarity with JavaScript visualization frameworks and/or charting and graphing libraries is a plus.
Experience with responsive web development a plus.
Experience with Python strongly desired
Familiarity with web/JavaScript tooling (npm, Webpack, Bower, Gulp, etc.) and node.js a plus.
Full stack experience including server side technologies (Python 3, Docker, Linux), persistence technologies (relational databases, key/value stores, graph databases, etc.), and Amazon Web Services is strongly preferred.
Awareness of best practices and patterns for JavaScript and Python as it relates to readability, maintainability, and performance.
Experience with using Git on the command line.
