The Provider Engagement Manager is responsible for building, managing and optimizing a network of providers within a defined geography in pursuit of broad strategic network management and growth goals. This individual is accountable for ensuring an adequate, marketable and high quality network and collaborating with providers seeking to create measurable long-term relationships to help enable improved member health outcomes.
As a Provider Engagement Manager you are a self-starter with an analytical, financial and strategic background with an entrepreneurial edge.
As a Provider Engagement Manager, you will:
Manage Provider Engagement Associates within geographic scope (responsible for provider contracting and provider relationship management) and hospital/facility account representative.
Be responsible for the ongoing development and execution of provider & network strategy for the geographic region to which you/they are assigned.
Lead contracting for different kinds of provider groups (facilities, physicians, ancillaries).
Secure 100% CMS network adequacy within your defined market at all times.
Ensure the provider network is being continually optimized for marketability and alignment to ensure overall Clover business objectives are being met.
Be responsible for achieving all unit cost / average contracted rate targets established by the enterprise and network leadership team.
Ensure ongoing provider satisfaction goals and lead initiatives required to continually deliver on provider value proposition.
Be accountable for ensuring that all provider issues – within specific geographic scope - are identified and systematically resolved in a timely and effective fashion.
Organize all local provider network insight and feed internally for incorporation by product, care management, operations and strategy teams.
Partner closely with the Provider Services team to address and resolve issues.

You have 3+years of experience in a network development role (negotiated and executed contracts with providers, facilities and hospitals).
You have Medicare Advantage experience (preferred).
You are fluent in Spanish (verbal and written).
You have critical thinking and creative problem solving abilities.
You have relationship management, written, and verbal communication skills.
You are passionate about data and technology.
You have experience leading a team (strongly preferred).
You are highly organized and have excellent time management skills.
You are entrepreneurial; you take initiative and solve problems as necessary.
You are comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.
You are results driven and enjoy being part of a high-performing team.
You are able to travel to San Francisco (HQ) or throughout your geographic area, as needed, to meet the demands of this role.
