Confluent is seeking an entrepreneurial Field Marketing Manager to join our marketing team in London. In this role you will help to drive the marketing strategy and execution in the Northern European region to create demand and awareness.
Working closely with the regional sales teams, you will create and execute targeted marketing campaigns that develop leads through the sales funnel. You will need to have experience in various marketing techniques including online & traditional marketing. You will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of the company and see results from your efforts. As the technology has been developed as open source, demonstrable knowledge of open source technologies and business models are a huge plus.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible to formulate and implement the local marketing strategies and campaigns for the organisation.
Manage the market positioning of products and services.
Responsibility for the Confluent brands to ensure consistency in brand marketing.
Planning, tracking, & management of external events, for example: technical meet-ups, seminars, executive dinners, account-based activities, and 3rd party events.
Prepare and document all marketing expenditure in line from an agreed marketing budget.
Devising and producing eShots regularly and sending out to customers, generating enquires and identifying hot leads.
Responsible for local websites ensure the sites are optimised and updated to increase traffic and enquires are identified.
What we are looking for:
Knowledge of global industrial marketing principles, methods and techniques
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to analyse and solve problems and to foster a cooperative work environment with peers and partners
Skills in budget preparation and financial management, able to manage your own budget from pre agreed plan
Hands on approach, will have to lead by example to get things done
Enthusiastic, resourceful, motivated and committed
Proven organisational skills and campaign management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with different target audiences
Ability to handle high levels of pressure
Willingness to travel to represent the company at trade shows, sales meeting and conferences
Experience within open source technologies
Experience of working with Technical Products
