Field Marketing and Events Manager

Clever is looking for a Field Marketing and Events Manager, based in San Francisco. As a Field Marketing and Events Manager at Clever, you will own the overarching strategy and manage the event planning and execution of all public-facing events, including conferences and user events; you should expect to attend at least 50% of events. This position will collaborate closely with Clever’s sales and success teams and will report to the head of marketing.

As Clever’s field marketing and events manager, you will:

Plan, organize, and execute industry events, including conference sponsorships and speaking opportunities
Execute Clever’s user events, including customer advisory boards, district roundtables, and user meetups
Work with third party agencies to produce promotional items, signage, and other event materials
Define success metrics, track progress, and report insights for each event
Manage promotional tactics to drive success metrics and conference goals
Maintain detailed budgets and track expenses in an organized fashion
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities and how they pertain to overall conference strategy
Refine Clever’s ongoing conference strategy in a strategic and creative way that effectively tells Clever’s story in the edtech market


We’re seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about marketing, who are able to develop and execute customer events, and are experienced self-managers who deliver excellent results with minimal supervision. You should have:

2-3 years event or field marketing experience
Exceptional communication and writing skills (background for copywriting is a plus)
A keen eye for detail and an organized manner
Resourcefulness and flexibility to handle unforeseen circumstances
Bachelor's degree
Edtech experience preferred but not required
Experience with Marketo and Salesforce preferred but not required
