POPSUGAR, Inc is seeking a talented Senior HR Business Partner that will support and provide strategic guidance to POPSUGAR’S amazing team of passionate, hard-working employees. The role will focus on coaching leaders for success, including employee relations, employment-related compliance and general administration.

As our Senior HR Business Partner in our New York office, you will play a critical role in fostering an environment that upholds these values. You will do this by providing strategic guidance to employees to facilitate productive communication, support career growth, and manage HR programs that align with Company goals.
Collaborate with department heads to translate business needs into hiring plans and career paths for their teams. Help identify top talent, create growth opportunities and succession plans.
Be key point of contact, coach and trusted advisor to internal clients at all levels.
Provide guidance on conflict-resolution and mediate sensitive conversations.
Support performance review process; conduct training and provide guidance to employees.
Collaborate with HR team on developing new initiatives to support our high-caliber team. Leverage HR tools to maximize employee performance and achieve organizational excellence. Review new tools as necessary to promote effectiveness and productivity.
Work closely with managers, our Director of Talent Acquisition and the Head of Culture on our diversity and inclusion training and initiatives.
Drive projects to successful completion.
Collaborate with HR team, managers and Talent Acquisition to maintain accurate job descriptions.
Conduct exit interviews. Analyze turnover trends and provide reports with key insights. Make recommendations to improve employee retention.
Manage the entire life-cycle of leaves of absence (including FMLA process), ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Administer employment practices in alignment with corporate policies and state/federal laws.
Handle immigration cases as we sponsor employees for their visas and permanent residency.
Conduct training as needed.

5-8+ years of progressive HR experience.
Strong understanding of US employment laws.
Strong foundation in employee relations.
Hands on experience building career paths and performance/goal setting programs for managers.
Able to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels bringing practical insights and follow through.
Successful experience driving HR programs from conception to implementation.
Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Strong team philosophy; proven ability to work positively, collaboratively and professionally with colleagues.
Tech savvy. Experience with various HR systems.
Understanding of immigration laws and practices.
