Founded in 2001, Xoom offers a convenient and cost-effective way to transfer money to other countries.

A user can send money to anyone all over the world from the comfort of their living room. Recipients don't need a bank account or Internet connection to receive funds, and senders can fund their money transfer with a credit card, debit card or US-based bank account.

When we first met
As an immigrant, I often sent money back to family members in South Africa. It was painful to go stand in a line at the bank, fill out forms, pay a $35.00 wire transfer fee, plus put up with the horrible exchange rate that they charged on top. Xoom was in a different league in offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative. This service puts food on the table for loved ones across the world. You can send money to your mom or brother in the Philippines or Mexico or Brazil or India from the comfort of your living room, just using your mobile device.
